Case Study 4: Golf Course Maintenance

Typical discussions about course maintenance budgets involve benchmarks such as cost per hole or cost per acre and a variety of specific characteristics ranging from type of grass to geographic location. To determine the impact of those various factors, we analyzed data from a wide range of clubs -- annual revenue from $1M to $40M, geographically diverse, 9 holes to 108 holes, every variation of grass type, seasonality, weather conditions and rainfall, In Club Benchmarking Case Study #4, we present the findings from that research and explain why conventional wisdom doesn't hold water when it comes to course maintenance spending.
